is located in the northern part of Cebu Province.
It is about 60.5 kms from Cebu City. It is bounded
on the North by the Municipality of Borbon; on the
South by the Municipality of Catmon; on the East
by the camotes Sea and on the west by the Municipalities
of Tuburan and Tabuelan.

Topography:
The terrain of the Municipality of Sogod is generally
rolling and becoming hilly up to the mountain side. Some
areas in the mountain barangays are rocky, eroded and
too poor agricultural cultivation.
Climate
:
Sogod has a tropical rain forest climate which means no
marked long dry season to occur in year. The municipality's
heaviest rain are noted in the months of May, June, and
October reaching to the level of 300mm. Of the highest
peak level in the rainful chart, while in the month of
December reduces its minimal down to the level of 200
mm and the shortest level, down to 150 mm, which usual
occurence is in the month of January.
