Entrepreneurship Development Program

The Countryside
Entrepreneurship Development Program (CEDP) promotes micro and small
enterprise development in different areas of the Philippines. It is
the aim of the program to support business people with small service
or production enterprises in various economic sectors employing 3
to 20 persons. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), with the
help of the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), coordinates
the program.
CEDP's partner institutions make use of the German CEFE approach in
their training courses.

What
is the impact of CEFE trainings so far?

Since November 1995, more than 1,600 potential, new and existing
business people have taken part in CEFE courses in 10 provinces
around the country

Improving Entrepreneurial Competencies |

This
training enables participants to reassess their personal entrepreneurial
and managerial competencies and thereafter formulate doable
competency improvement plans. |

Business
Situation and Performance Analysis |
| |
This
training enables participants to comprehensively analyze their
business situation and performance with the use of practical
business concepts and diagnostic tools and to generate, screen,
and select business improvement ideas. |
| Module
3 |
Formulating
Business Improvement Plans |
| |
This training enables the participants to formulate their respective
Business Improvement Plans and to initiate the process of negotiation
for their growth and expansion projects or for restructuring
their business, by presenting their plans to representatives
of various sources of assistance.
